This is the website of Addingham Parish Plan.

The plan was developed between October 2007 and October 2008, and was formally adopted by Addingham Parish Council on 17th December 2008, under the following resolution:

“It will be minuted that Council welcomed the publication of the Addingham Parish plan and congratulated all those who have facilitated its production and contributed to it. And further Council Resolved to adopt the Plan’s summary and conclusions, and to:

- Facilitate the widest possible community involvement in progressing the action plan

- Support, monitor and maintain progress in its implementation

- Act as champion of the Plan in liaising with Bradford MDC and other service providers over its implementation”

We will be formally presenting the plan to Keighley Area Committee in the near future, but in the meantime, Addingham Parish Council has been granted £6,500 by Keighley Area Office to cover funding for the implementing aspects of the Parish Plan.

December 17th 2008

Parish Plan presented to Addingham Parish Council and formally adopted by the council.

September 20th 2008

Village solutions event held at the Memorial Hall with over 100 villagers contributing to the plan.

June 27th 2008

To contribute to the Addingham Parish Plan, pupils on Addingham Primary school council organised a competition. Pupils were asked to design a poster with the three headings “the good, the bad & the future” and put down their ideas in pictures or writing, with a chance for one child in each class to win a £10 voucher. Entries were judged by Cllr Graham Lingard & Headteacher Jane Drake & prizes were presented to the winners by Graham during assembly on 27th June!

Many local business owners took the opportunity to have their say on 19th June 2008. The Parish Council has already started working in close partnership with officers from Bradford Council to deliver some of the help businesses in the village said they need.
